DRAMA AND ACTING TASTER SESSION

Home Educated Children and Teens are invited to a special taster workshop with the highly acclaimed Guildford Shakespeare Company.

Ignite the imagination of young actors in a small, friendly group. Working with professional actors and stage combat instructors, they will play fun games, strengthen their confidence and learn more about the exciting world of theatre and Shakespeare.

Taster session (information about the regular class from January – below)

Date:    Wednesday 9th December 2015

Time:    11am-1pm (arrive by 10:45am please)

Place:   7th Woking Scouts Hall, New Community Building, Woking Park, Kingfield Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 9BA

Who:    Children/Teens 9-14 years old

Cost:     £7 per child for the 2 hours, £5 for additional children of the same family (this is a special discounted price just for the taster, see below for regular class cost). The fee is non-refundable, unless the event is cancelled by the organisers.

–       By PayPal to bookings@wokinghe.org. Please choose the ‘Friends and Family’ option to avoid a transaction fee. If your PayPal account is funded by a credit card (rather than a bank account) there will be a fee so please don’t use this option if this is the case.

–       Bank transfer to account number 72056968, sort code 30-99-80 (no fee).

Follow your payment with an email to bookings@wokinghe.org providing your child name and age. You will receive an email confirming your payment and place.

Regular class

Dates:   13 January – 23 March 2016 (no class Half Term 17 February)

Time:    11am-1pm (arrive at 10:45am please)

Who:    Children/Teens 9-14 years old

Cost:     £160 per child for the term. Sibling discount not available.  £50 deposit required to secure a place at the time of booking. The remainder of the fee will be due by the first session but could be split into two instalments payable by the start of the first and second half of the term.

Additional information (applies to both taster and regular sessions):

–          Parents and non-participating siblings as well as families not attending – all welcome. There is a kitchen, an extra hall and an outdoor grass area. Woking Park, Woking Leisure Centre and Pool in the Park are a couple of minutes’ walk from the venue. A fee of £3 per family plus £1 per child not attending will be charged. For example, a family with 2 children, 1 of whom attending the session, will pay £4.

–          The hall will be available for an hour (from 1-2pm) after the session for lunch and a social catch-up.
