Guitar at Woking HE – Taster Session

What:  Guitar taster session with Tom Williams, a professional guitar teacher

When: Wednesday 13 April 2016, 9:10 – 10:10am.

Where: Woking HE Group, 7th Woking Scouts Hall, New Community Building, Woking Park, Kingfield Road, Woking, Surrey, GU22 9BA.

Who: children age 9+. Very keen 8’s welcome.

Cost: £7 per child

Description:  The taster will be a 10 minutes session for 2-3 children at a time and will include introduction to the instrument, playing a song, a couple of chords, some rhythmic and pitch information and an idea of what to expect. After the session Tom will be available to discuss with parents and answer questions. If parents want to get involved with the music they are very welcome.

You don’t need to bring a guitar to the taster, we will have enough to share, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have one. Tom will advise on type and size for the regular class.

The regular class will start on 27 April and will run for 10 weeks (no session on 1 June – half term break). The time will be decided based on interest – either morning (9-10am) or afternoon (2.30-3.30pm). It will be 30-45 minutes long and cost between £12 – £18 per child per session, depending on numbers. Maximum group size – 6 children

Follow your payment with an email to providing your child’s name and age. You will receive an email from us confirming your payment and place.

Payments are non-refundable unless the sessions are cancelled by us.
